Repetition is an engineering signal

An access audit is important. Repeating the same operational work by hand every quarter does not make it more important; it makes it expensive to perform consistently.

I built automation for that recurring access-audit process. A workflow that previously occupied seven to ten days became a run of approximately five minutes.

Time returned, judgment retained

The automation handles the recurring operational work. Access-policy decisions and the human judgment involved in an audit still belong with the people responsible for them.

The useful boundary is the repetitive work: the parts that can follow a consistent process each quarter, leaving attention for the decisions that need it.

Value beyond the interface

This system earns its place each quarter, when the same work can be run again in minutes. I measure its value in the time and attention returned to the people operating the business.
