Stop making every repository its own platform
Different teams needed many of the same pieces: static sites, pipelines, data stores, certificates, secrets, and authentication. Copying Terraform between repositories made those pieces harder to review and easier to drift apart.
The library separates reusable resource units from templates that assemble those units into complete patterns.
Composition is the product
Teams supply the inputs specific to their project. Templates carry common naming, tagging, environment conventions, and security choices. The platform covers account bootstrap, static applications behind CloudFront, delivery pipelines, databases, secrets, and identity integrations.
Private S3 origins, encryption, WAF, and scoped IAM are encoded in the shared foundation. Infrastructure changes become code that can be reviewed, rather than undocumented console state.
Delivery belongs in the same design
CodePipeline and CodeBuild templates distinguish feature-branch validation and planning from production changes. TFLint, Terraform validation, quality checks, and optional approval steps become reusable delivery behavior.
For static applications that need SSO, a Node.js Lambda@Edge integration handles the Auth0 authorization flow at CloudFront.
The outcome
The modules are used across the organization to compose AWS infrastructure from shared building blocks. Teams can reuse reviewed decisions while keeping their project-specific inputs explicit.
This work is as much about interfaces as infrastructure: a module’s inputs, defaults, validation, and documentation determine whether another engineer can use it with confidence.
